Just another day

Never thought the tears would reign
They've come up once again
In this inevitable end
in the end i feared would come
Always thought you'd be the one

Never thought that pain would breathe.
Seeping in, ten times greater than before
What i abhor has come true
The loss of a solider
The loss of you

Never thought the wounds would scar
A mark on all the unblemished
Sticking through, the gravity above you
The love i never knew
The knowledge given to few

Never thought the facts could kill
Sell a million broken hearts
On this silver platter
Nothing matters
Without the reason

The inevitable revenge
Take more than we ought to give
Living for a God, to cleanse our 'sins'
The battlefield, cold, and meaningless
Fresh of new blood, our daughters, our sons

Love seldom shown
Blowing in the wind
Sing us a song
Let us long for better times
In this predictable demise

Only a border away
Today, is just another day
The demon in us all
A call to each our own
Sown in the bleeding

And the love we once knew
Came forth and cashed in
Fled us for our ending days
Wishing the waking was a lie
For you, the death, your beautiful eyes
